Welcome to Larbert Village Primary School
Larbert Village Primary School is situated in Main Street, Larbert near Larbert Cross. Pupils access the school on the quieter Eastcroft Street. We are 3 miles from Falkirk town centre and we are on regular bus routes to Stirling, Denny, Grangemouth and Falkirk. We are also 200 metres from the local railway station, with direct trains to Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling.
Larbert is a thriving, growing community with a large number of new houses built within the catchment area. A large number of businesses support the village. We are also near the new Forth Valley Royal Hospital.
The original building was opened in 1891. Since then there have been refurbishments in 1950, 2000 and a new extension opened in August 2009. The new extension adds 6 classrooms, an ICT suite, a new nursery class, meeting rooms and a school gymnasium to the school.
Our nursery class provides early years education for 30 children morning and afternoon. Children benefit from a high quality learning environment, and motivated and friendly staff.
Our Enhanced provision class provides a nurturing and supportive environment for children with additional support needs.
Our school aims to provide child centred learning of a high standard. We want our children to develop in all areas; physically, socially and emotionally. We aim for high attainment, in the broadest sense. We welcome parental involvement and work with a wide variety of partner agencies.
We want to develop children ready for the challenges of the 21stcentury, locally, nationally and globally.
